This week has been another milestone in the development of Mosaic Chain, which aligns seamlessly with the roadmap outlined in our litepaper. The development team has continued relentless efforts to bring Mosaic Chain closer to its next major goal: the devnet launch. Here’s an overview of what we’ve accomplished and our plans for the upcoming week.
Progress This Week (Nov 18–22)
1. Completion of Indexer 2.0 Features:
This week, we finalized the remaining features of Indexer 2.0. The indexer is feature-complete for now, providing a solid foundation for the chain’s operations.
2. Validator Admin API Ready:
The first blockchain API for the Validator Admin is now complete. This enables validators to interact with the blockchain running on their machines directly from their web browsers.
3. Staking Incentive Formulas Implemented:
The staking incentive formulas have been fully implemented.
4. Advancements in UX/UI Development:
Our team made progress on mid- and long-term UX/UI improvements for the Mosaic Chain, ensuring an intuitive and future-ready user experience.
Plans for Next Week (Nov 25–29)
1. Indexer Optimization:
We will begin optimizing the indexer, focusing initially on code refinement and subsequently on performance improvements.
2. Ongoing UX Development:
The team will continue working on mid- and long-term UX enhancements to ensure that Mosaic Chain’s user interface remains both functional and user-friendly.
3. Chain Testing and Devnet Preparation:
Next week, we aim to finalize the first round of chain testing and prepare for the devnet launch.
Current Status and Vision
The indexer now has a feature set sufficient for the chain’s initial launch. Moving forward, we will focus on improving code quality and performance to ensure a seamless user experience.
The devnet launch is planned within the next two weeks. While it will not yet be open for external connections, it represents a crucial milestone in establishing the chain’s core functionality. Once the devnet is operational, our efforts will shift toward ensuring it functions as the testnet demonstrated in our demos. This will involve rigorous testing, debugging, and refinement.
Simultaneously, as resources become available, we plan to begin implementing tasks related to validator onboarding on Mosaic Chain.
