This past week, our development team has made significant strides across various critical areas of our infrastructure. Here’s a closer look at our progress and what’s on the horizon:
What We Worked on This Week (Oct 21-25)
• Advancements on Indexer 2.0: We focused on developing the remaining features, particularly data aggregation. This enhancement will soon allow users to view aggregated data in a simplified manner.
• Validator Admin Development: To enhance validator access, we worked on allowing validators to securely log into their own machines through the Validator Admin, bringing us closer to smoother validator management.
• Testing Tokenomics Updates: In preparation for future improvements, we created a series of tests to evaluate recent changes made to the chain code, particularly related to tokenomics adjustments.
• Automated Testing for Explorer Interface: Our Explorer UI now benefits from automated testing, which ensures a more robust and reliable experience as we move closer to launch.
Upcoming Goals for Next Week (Oct 28 – Nov 1)
• Validator Onboarding Coordination: We’ll be meeting with the Alpha team to finalize the validator onboarding process and establish clear tasks to streamline validator setup.
• Finalizing Indexer 2.0 Development: Our goal is to complete feature development for Indexer 2.0, which will then enter a review and testing phase.
• Validator Admin – Feature Implementation: We’re starting with the implementation of the first feature, “chill-unchill,” on the Validator Admin to enhance validator controls.
• UI Enhancements on Explorer: With the new design updates reviewed and approved by our graphics team, we’ll begin integrating these improvements into the Explorer UI.
Current Status and Future Plans
• Tokenomics Update and Devnet Launch: Tokenomics are now integrated into the chain code, with the exception of staking incentive formulas. Once these formulas are complete, we’ll proceed with implementation, testing, and then launch the devnet.
• Validator Admin and Devnet Access: Following the chill-unchill feature on Validator Admin, we’ll enhance the installer to enable validators to connect to the devnet smoothly.
• Validator Onboarding Execution: As soon as the validator onboarding plan is finalized, we’ll accelerate its implementation to initiate testing with validators on the devnet as soon as possible.
