Welcome to this week’s Mosaic Chain developer status update. Below is a quick overview of what the team worked on this week, followed by what we’re planning to move forward with next week.
THIS WEEK’S PROGRESS (SEPT 14 – SEPT 18)
🔧 Blockchain Runtime Changes
These are protocol-level upgrades – they lay the groundwork for new capabilities but aren’t directly usable through the UI yet:
– The validator NFT auctioning pallet is nearly complete and remains under review, which will let validators sell their validator permission NFT.
– mosaic-DID pallet integration continues, laying the foundation for on-chain identity for Mosaic Trust Network.
🖥️ Indexing
– The large indexer release is under testing.
– Liquidity pool reserve history and swap handling are under testing.
– NFT auction indexing is in progress.
– Further indexer optimizations are in progress.
🎨 Frontend
– A frontend release shipped to mainnet this week, including the validator dashboard now displaying the Nebula certificate details and several smaller fixes.
– NFT auction UI design is in progress.
– Progress was made on persistent notifications with more detail included.
– A transaction review popup is under review – it lets users review the call to be signed and choose which asset to pay the fees in.
– The assets feature remains under review, along with fixes across the liquidity pool page.
🖥️ Admin Backend
– Multi-user support is under review.
– An interface for local scripts running under root to access certain admin functions is in progress.
– Remote shell access is in progress, with a terminal through the admin backend in the pipeline.
– The validator dashboard accessible from the local network is under testing.
– File sharing is under review, with the dashboard side in progress.
🖧 Infrastructure
– The Nebula certificate renewal rollout is underway.
– Experiments continue on an end-to-end encrypted peer-to-peer connection to access one’s own node, eliminating the need for gateways.

– Continuing the indexer release and testing
– Designing the validator NFT auction UI
– Continuing admin backend improvements (multi-user support, local script interface, terminal/remote shell, locally accessible dashboard, file sharing)
– Working on mosaic-did integration

– Reworking Validator OS tooling (backup scripts, removing configuration management tooling)
