Welcome to this week’s Mosaic Chain developer status update. Below is a quick overview of what the team worked on this week, followed by what we’re planning to move forward with next week.
THIS WEEK’S PROGRESS (AUG 10 – AUG 14)
✅ Shipped This Week
– A session metrics memory usage improvement was released to Mainnet, improving performance.
🔧 Blockchain Runtime Changes
These are protocol-level upgrades – they lay the groundwork for new capabilities but aren’t directly usable through the UI yet:
– polkadot-sdk update is underway to maintain compatibility with the upcoming polkadot node release.
– mosaic-DID pallet integration continues, laying the foundation for on-chain identity for Mosaic Trust Network.
– The development of a validator NFT auctioning pallet is in progress that will enable validators to sell their validator permission NFT.
🖥️ Indexing
– Full cross-chain indexing continues testing – covering outgoing XCM events, incoming cross-chain asset events, and message queue processing.
– Liquidity pool indexing and assets pallet support are also being tested.
🎨 Frontend
– Displaying older, closed council proposals is in development
– Multi-hop swap is now in testing – enabling swaps that route through MOS as an intermediary asset in a single transaction.
– Experienced mode is now in testing – an optional setting that surfaces non-whitelisted assets for users comfortable with the added risk.
– Other quality-of-life improvements are also under testing
🖥️Admin Backend
– Multi-user support is under review
– Remote shell access is in development.
NEXT WEEK’S FOCUS (AUG 17 – AUG 19)
🔜 Planned for Next Week
– Continuing testing of frontend and indexing features
– Expanding the liquidity pool details view with historical prices and swap history
– Continue implementation of validator NFT auction pallet
– Working on mosaic-DID pallet integration
– Continuing admin backend improvements (multi-user support, remote shell access)
– Continuing the polkadot-sdk migration to stay compatible with the updated polkadot node
