Welcome to this week’s Mosaic Chain developer status update. Below is a quick overview of what the team worked on this week, followed by what we’re planning to move forward with next week.
THIS WEEK’S PROGRESS (JULY 22 – JULY 26)
✅ Shipped This Week
– Liquidity pools are now live on Mainnet – users can create and manage liquidity pools directly from the Assets page.
– Bound validator NFTs are now displayed directly on account pages in Mosaic Explorer.
– Several Explorer fixes and quality of life updates landed.
🔧 Blockchain Runtime Changes
These are protocol-level upgrades – they lay the groundwork for new capabilities but aren’t directly usable through the UI yet:
– The airdrop pallet and minting service can now distribute LP tokens – released to testnet, enabling LP token distribution for liquidity providers.
– Work continued to integrate DIDs into mosaic chain – laying the groundwork for Mosaic Trust Network.
🖥️ Indexing
– XCM transaction and liquidity pool indexing are under testing – unlocking cross-chain asset tracking and liquidity pool statistics in Mosaic Explorer.
– User timezone-aware data aggregation is under testing – ensuring metrics reflect local time preferences.
🎨 Frontend
– The transaction fee payment UI for non-native assets (DOT, USDC, USDT) is under review – this is the frontend piece that lets users actually pay fees in foreign assets.
– Staking Incentive UI is under review – surfacing staking rewards and incentive data to validators and nominators.
NEXT WEEK’S FOCUS (JULY 27 – JULY 31)
🔜 Planned for Next Week
– Mainnet runtime upgrade – bringing previous weeks’ changes to mainnet including lp token distribution and default commission rate change
– Testing transaction fee payment in non-native assets
– Finalizing Staking Incentive UI
– Testing multi user support in Admin backend
– Integrating pallet-mosaic-did into the runtime
– Working towards Talisman / NovaWallet support
– Designing on-chain democracy pallet and UI.
