Welcome to this week’s Mosaic Chain developer status update. Below is a quick overview of what the team worked on this week, followed by what we’re planning to move forward with next week.
THIS WEEK’S PROGRESS (JULY 4 – JULY 10)
✅ Shipped in the past two weeks
- Single-chain asset swap went live on Mainnet – users can now swap MOS and other assets directly within Mosaic Chain via the Swap & Teleport page.
- The old Cross-Chain page was renamed to Swap & Teleport, reflecting its expanded functionality beyond teleportation.
- “Emergency Chilling” option went live on Mainnet – validators can now chill their nodes without needing dashboard access.
- Democracy frontend updates landed on Mainnet.
- Successfully migrated to new paseo (Polkadot Testnet) relaychain on Devnet.
- Various Explorer quality-of-life improvements shipped to Mainnet.
🔧 Blockchain Runtime Changes
These are protocol-level upgrades – they lay the groundwork for new capabilities but aren’t directly usable through the UI yet:
- Highway pallet updates had been integrated into the runtime and released to Devnet, with MOS issuance tracking included – a critical step toward enabling wrapped asset transfers across chains.
- Transaction fee distribution has been fixed to correctly account for non-native asset payments.
- XCM instruction benchmarking completed and is now under review, ensuring reliable and measured cross-chain performance.
🖥️ Indexing
- Indexing for outgoing XCM events was merged – this will let Mosaic Explorer surface cross-chain transfer history.
- Indexing for incoming XCM events is now under review, further filling in the cross-chain data picture.
- Liquidity pool indexing is also under review, paving the way for pool analytics and swap tracking in Mosaic Explorer
🎨 Frontend
- Single-chain swap UI completed – live on Mainnet
- Validator emergency chill UI is live on Mainnet
- Liquidity pool management is now under review — due to be released in the upcoming weeks
- Progress has been made towards supporting more wallets
- Onboarding was improved: new users now see their primary account highlighted during initial setup.
🖧 Infrastructure
- An important upgrade has been released to gateways – a direct improvement to memory usage and overall stability on gateway machines.
- Routine maintenance completed throughout the entire infrastructure to ensure secure and stable operation.
NEXT WEEK’S FOCUS (JULY 13 – JULY 17)

- Finalizing and testing liquidity pool management
- Finishing and testing indexer features for XCM transaction and liquyidity pool tracking
- Integrating Mosaic DID support into the runtime enabling countless usecases – a core component of Mosaic Trust Network stack
- Utility script for validator os users that helps backing up and restoring secrets stored on the node
- Integrating custom solution for role based access (multi-user) support into Admin Backend.
- Designing remote shell access feature for Validator Dashboard – run debug/maintanance commands on your validator machine without attaching a keyboard and monitor.
- Sentinel release with delegator subscriptions
- Admin Backend release with numerous bugfixes
